GUIDELINES TO PARTICIPATE for Schools

Step-by-step guidelines are as follows:

Nominate a Teacher as an in-charge for this competition. Display the poster in the School notice board.
Make an announcement to the students.

The Teacher in-charge will register the name of the participants and also collect the fees of Rs. 100/- from each participant. The School will retain 20% of the collected amount to cover postage and DD expenditure.

Students of classes/standard I, II, III and IV are eligible for Category A, Students of classes/standard V, VI, VII and VIII
are eligible for Category B and Students of classes IX, X, XI and XII are eligible for Category C. There should be a minimum of 15 participants in any given category.

If the management wants to take the parent’s consent, an application form with a message to the parents is available. These forms can be ordered through email or telephone from ASK Learning Centre, Hyderabad.

The School Application (School Registration Form + Demand Draft) should reach ASK Learning Centre, Hyderabad on or before 30th November 2024.

The exam materials will be sent to your school after the receipt of your Application Form and DD.
The exam will be conducted in the respective school premises itself before 30th November 2024. The date of the exam can be decided according to the convenience of the School Management.
The last day for Submission of the answers papers by the school to ASK Learning Centre, Hyderabad is 15th December 2024.

Examination pattern is as follows: The medium of examination will be English. There will be a same question paper for B and C Categories. The duration of the exam is for 20 minutes. There will be only one written exam and the same answer sheet will be evaluated for further rounds / levels (if shortlisted in a particular round / level).

The assessment of the exam answer papers will be in three rounds. They are:
Round 1
This round is in among the students of an individual school. The first 3 best performers in every school, in each Category, will be awarded Handwriting Champ of the School Certificate and Medal. All the students will receive Participation Certificates.
Round 2
Students who qualify in the Round 1 are eligible for Round 2. This round is among the students from the same State. The first 3 best performers in State, in each Category, will be awarded Handwriting Champ of the State Trophy, a Certificate and Gift Hamper worth Rs. 2000/-
Round 3
All students who qualify in the Round 2 are eligible for Round 3. This round is among the students of different states. The first 3 best performers, in each Category, in India will be awarded Handwriting Champ of the Nation Trophy, a Certificate and Gift Hamper worth of Rs. 5000/-

The Evaluation Criteria:
Legibility and neatness, Front formation and uniformity in fonts, Joining or connectivity between letters, Pen strokes and
their angle and there will be negative marking for pressure applied on paper.

The Jury comprised of a group of highly experienced professionals of SmartWRITE working in the field of Handwriting,
Calligraphy and Graphology. The decision of the SmartWRITE Jury is final.

The School Level results will be declared in the first week of January 2025.

There is a Best Performance School award for top 3 schools in every state and also Best Participation School award for all the Schools who forward more than 200 applications.

The award distribution function and press conference will be held in New Delhi on 23rd January 2025 which is the
International Handwriting Day. The names of "National Handwriting Champs" in all the three categories will be announced at this meeting.

GUIDELINES TO PARTICIPATE for Individual Participants

Step-by-step guidelines are as follows:

  • Students of 5th to 8th standard fall in Category B. Students of 9th to 12th standard fall in Category C. Both these categories have to use this Single Ruled Exam Paper.

  • Category B and Category C Paper. Download from this link.

  • Students of 1st to 4th standard fall in Category A.These students have to use this Four Ruled Exam Paper.

  • Category A Paper. Download from this link.
  • Take a printout of the Answer Paper and the Registration form, finish the exam at home and send the papers to our Hyderabad office.(Address mentioned in the "Contact Us" page). You have time till December 15th 2024 to complete this.

    The fees for the Individual Participant is Rs. 300/- per student. Payments can be made through PayTM, GooglePay, Bank NEFT Transfer or Bank Demand Draft.

    Please make a note of the following dates in this competition:

    30th November 2024 is the last date to receive your School's Registration Form and DD

    15th December 2024 is the last date to receive Student's Answer Sheets

    The anouncement of school level results will be in the first week of January 2025

    23rd January is the "INTERNATIONAL HANDWRITING DAY" and the names of the National Handwriting Champs will be announced at the awards function in Delhi
